Rainwater tunnels

The concept works efficiently with the Macadam and due to the effective tunnel filling rate, the total amount of Macadam can be significantly reduced due to the additional mounting options. However, the tunnel is always surrounded by a structural layer of a lower Macadam fraction (up to 16/32) which ensures its load-bearing capacity.

Each tunnel is just under 2.4 m long (effective volume of 1.6 m³ = installed volume of 2.4 m³), which guarantees fast installation and is stackable for optimal logistics and environment. The trailer can hold e.g. +300 m³ depending on the configuration.

Linked side ends, Start & Stop sections (volume 0.1 m³/pc), with integrated upward and downward connection options covering diameters of 100-300 mm. "Pluvimax can be useful for infiltration, but is also suitable for applications where only delay is applied.

The robust tunnels (weight = 32 kg/pc) are made of controlled and recycled HDPE and can withstand heavy traffic loads of at least 1 m in superstructures. Geotextiles must always be used underneath and can also be used as a direct layer for the tunnels themselves. Where lower superstructures are required and where Macadam is not preferred, as above, our Pluvial Cube is recommended as the most flexible 'cassette' solution on the market.
