Oil and particle separation
Oil separators
A series of oil separators that are ideal for areas with oily sewage or where there is a risk of oil spills. The separators have been developed in collaboration between Danish experts in wastewater treatment and plastics technology and a number of Danish entrepreneurs.
Oil separators are easy and quick to install thanks to their very low installation depth, low tank weight and recessed lifting lugs.
The range of oil separators includes coalescing separators 1 and oil separator 2. We cast tanks for both smaller and larger treatment plants. The units are available in sizes 3, 6 and 10 l/sec. As a coalescing separator, there is also a series from 15 l/sec and up.
Device structure:
In the case of oil separators, the relevant municipality must always approve the construction of the facility. Typically, an oil separator consists of a sand trap, an oil separator and a subsequent sampling well. Often an alarm is also required in the oil separator.
A coalescing separator is a class l oil separator, which is the name of the European separator standard SS-EN 858. Class 1 refers to separators with an outlet concentration of less than 5 mg oil.
Coalescing separators must be used if the oil has been emulsified in water, e.g. in areas where high-pressure detergents are used or where soaps/chemicals are used. All coalescing separators from 3-10 l/sec are supplied with an automatic float which blocks the outlet when the oil tank is full. The oil separator shall be approved as Class ll standard oil/gasoline separators of the ll series with an outlet concentration not exceeding 100 mg/l free oil when tested. The separators can be supplied with or without an automatic float. The approval and CE marking separators are tested and approved by the Danish Institute of Technology in accordance with SS/EN 858.
