Oil and particle separation
Eco-friendly geotextiles
An environmentally friendly geotextile that purifies rainwater from oil.
A geotextile that offers something completely new. Rainwater carries pollutants into groundwater, but water textiles clean oil-contaminated rainwater before it flows further. The material is made up of different layers of fibres treated with growth minerals that adsorb oil. The oil is then broken down and purified by bacterial flora in the soil.
Contaminated water is filtered in different layers of the water textile. The top layer breaks down the oil with the help of nature's bacterial flora - a process that is stimulated by the moisturising bottom layer. This process purifies rainwater and has the same high degree of purification as the best oil separator. In addition, the aquatextile is very easy to install and completely maintenance-free.
Together with Hydroshark particle separators, we can develop stormwater management solutions with oil emission requirements below the recommended levels - i.e. less than 3 mg/l.
We also separate out large amounts of particulate matter - in particular heavy metals such as copper, zinc, cadmium, lead, chromium, particulate hydrocarbons, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and organic compounds, up to 63 mya.
